About the project

Starred.com is a brand released in 2023 as a merger of 2 companies in the HR industry, Talenthub.io and Starred. With their previous expertise in Candidate Experience Analytics, the new entity is focused on holistic solutions to improve Hiring Processes for both companies and candidates.

I joined Talenthub.io in 2022 as a Junior and as a consequence of the merger, I progressed to a Mid position and the sole designer in the company. With this, I was part of the taskforce responsible to shape how a merged SaaS analytics platform will look like in order to accommodate all the current user base.

Key achievements

Developed a new Design System (Talent UI)
Contributed to an improved NPS score (-16 to 25) after an UI redesign release
Streamlined Design - Dev handoff processes (Figma notes, specs and links in Jira)
Redesigned the website with Webflow

Learnings

Reflecting on the project, I would have prioritized improving the existing design system rather than building a new one, given the uncertainty following the company merger. While the rebranding required some adjustments to the newly developed system, design tokens minimized disruption, though it did extend the timeline slightly.

Additionally, I would have allocated more time for upfront user research, especially to capture updated insights from active and churned customers. Their feedback would have provided even more valuable input, even though the platform changes impacted positively the current user experience and flow in the tool.
